Vikram H. Dewan joined Philadelphia Zoo in July 2006 he is the 14th President to lead the area's most-visited ticketed cultural attraction, one that welcomes 1.25 million guests through its historic gates each year. As President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Dewan is responsible for institutional leadership and strategic direction for all programs, services, operations, and fundraising. Under Dewan's direction, Philadelphia Zoo has opened over $50 million in award-winning animal exhibits. Additionally, during this time the Zoo unveiled a $24 million parking and traffic initiative that included the construction of the Centennial District Parking Garage as well as made significant functional and aesthetic improvements to traffic flow, landscape, and parking around the Zoo and neighboring communities.
